State of the Industry Tech Demonstration

N-CATT is excited to announce our first-ever State of the Industry Tech Demonstration, which will take place in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, from July 23rd- 24th. We will gather a small group of transit operators to study goMARTI: an automated vehicle (AV) deployment in a small-town setting. The demonstration aims to help agencies already considering AV deployment get a better understanding of how AVs can work in transit systems to see how or if it would work for their community.

Draft Agenda:

Day 1

9:00 – Introductions and background.

10:00 – Discuss system implementation and the lessons learned from it

11:00 – Deployment planning exercise

12:30 – Lunch

2:00 – Scavenger hunt to experience using the system and how it works

Day 2

9:00 – Recap and Debrief

9:30 – Discuss passenger/community behavior, patterns, and data

10:15 – Discuss national AV research

11:00 – Implementation Planning Exercise

12:30 – Lunch

1:30 – Learn about AV maintenance

N-CATT will be able to reimburse travel costs for one member of staff for each organization selected; a second staff member may be invited to join at the agency’s expense. Due to limited space, we are asking transit agencies to apply to attend.
